What is a RAP?RAP stands for Registered Accounting Practitioner. This is a new designation established by the Accountancy Act passed in Minnesota in 2001. A person applying for RAP shall successfully pass all sections of a RAP examination designed to test knowledge in the subject of accounting and compilation services, business law, and taxation with a score of at least 75 percent. A RAP is required to complete a minimum of 90 hours of continuing professional education during a three-year period with a minimum of 20 hours each year. In addition, the RAP will be required to complete a quality review once every three years |
